Wein- und Sektgut Hubertushof
Trittenheim

The wine estate Hubertushof is owned by the family Clüsserath and situated at Trittenheim on the MOSEL river. It comprises of 5.5 hectars of first-class vineyards in the village of Trittenheim and the famous site "Altärchen" and "Apotheke". Mr. Clüsserath produces up to 90% RIESLING wines and concentrates on high-end qualities only.

It is hard to tell the amount of GOLD medals this producer was awarded within the last few years. Hubertus Clüsserath grows 85% Riesling but he also makes top white wines from the grape varieties Kerner, Bacchus and Pinot Blanc, and his red wines are made from Pinot Noir and Dornfelder.

All grapes are hand-picked. The soil is either sandy-loam (for the red wines) or blue-grey slate on the steep slopes where Riesling ripens best. More than 70% of all vineyards are planted on steep slopes. The yield per hectar is approx. 60 – 70 hectoliters.

The wine estate has its own wine cellars underneath the house, cool enough for a long-lasting fermentation. About 60% of the casks are stainless steel tanks, the rest are wooden oak barrels.
