Weingut Geil
Eimsheim

WEINGUT GEIL is owned by the Geil family and run by the son Thomas. The estate comprises approx. 15 hectares of fine vineyards in the surroundings of the villages of Eimsheim and Mettenheim in the heart of the Rheinhessen wine growing areas.

Typically for this area is the great variety of grape variations which is being grown. The Geil family cultivates mainly SILVANER, Mueller-Thurgau, RIESLING, Scheurebe, Siegrebe, HUXEL, Weisser Burgunder (Pinot Blanc) and GEWUERZTRAMINER as well as the red varieties PINOT Noir (Spaetburgunder) and Blauer Portugieser.

Unlike many producers in the Rheinhessen area the Geil's are sharply limiting the yield per hectare and therefore arrive at high qualities. Their viniculture is modern and efficient but still with the aim to offer wines with individual character.

We recommend their dry PINOT BLANCS as well as their full-bodied, fruity GEWUERZTRAMINER wines which match so well Asian food.
